What is the validity period of the pink ID card in Thailand for foreigners?

Yes, over 60's get for life.

Interestingly it is a poor substitute for a Thai's one as it has no barcode on it. Cannot be used to obtain a store/loyalty card for example.

Flew in 10 days ago, very easy, immigration required passport and boarding pass only. Point of embarkation (London) required certificate of vaccination.
