That's true, but generally if you have a multi-entry visa there's no hassles flying in. The big issues might be with extensions, but as I see one of the biggest advantages of the DTV is total avoidance of pedantic immigration offices I won't be looking for any in-country extensions
I think they've seen the writing on the wall. People switching from non-O previously paying 25k+ per year for a dodgy visa have realised they can get a five year visa for 10k that's totally legitimate. I'm sure the DTV has already sent tremors through the agencies. They're now making a grab for money through DTV
The ETA will be combined with the payment of 300 baht tourist tax. The proposal goes to parliament sometime in January and if passed then goes to the Royal Gazette, so at the earliest it will be February
Fraud? You mean like the thousands here who use visa agents to pay bribes to immigration to get dodgy visa extensions? And the thousands who buy f@ke designer goods at markets? And the thousands who pay bribes to police officers because they don't have motorcycle licences? Excuse me whilst I ROFL! 😂😂😂
I should add I've now flicked the non-O and gone onto DTV, so no more recorded transfers. I now bring in cash which is untraceable. It's a beauty of a visa! Creating a "cash community" amongst expats. That'll f*ck up the Thai Tax Office 😂😂😂
