Depends on the Airline most of the major airlines will ask to see your flight out of Thailand because it’s their responsibility to make sure you can leave if there are any issues with immigration or the police and you are kicked out of the country

Just when your minding your own business walking down a street and an uninsured drunk Thai driver runs into you

You can not sue him he has no money and your in a serious bad way in hospital

I would add a few 0000’s onto the 800 baht
