So if you are not married to a Thai, you do not work here, you do not want to do an education visa, elite visas are too expensive..and for some if they are too young for retirement non O A is it? but you want to be living "as a tourist" what is the option?
Asked IO in Suvanabhumi as I had done a few trips.. said there was no limit by air.. just have hotel booking, 20k cash and ticket out.. Then you see stories about the angry female I/O at DM and who knows????
If they transfer from OS to thai only to have it registered as a local transfer then its voiding the continunity of the funds transfers. Directly visa related
Have lived and worked in Australia for 35 years between the ages of 16 and pension age I believe you do not need do the 2 years in residence.. They will take some of the supplimental benefits off you like power and something else because they are cheap and nasty..
Does not sound very welcoming.. can or will they look after all the families and children once they make it too onerous or financially difficult for good honest people to live a quiet and simple life in Thailand??
I worked in Bangkok in 2014-2015 travelled on my days off all over the place and never reported to anyone. Now I travel back many times a year on visa exempts for between 10 to 28 days a time. I'm thinking to apply for an METV.. Is all this reporting still required? Or is it only if you rent a house or condo on a long term lease and live in it.
