Hi, am I correct in thinking there is no limit to the number of times you visit Thailand if you fly in every time and leave again by air, for less than 30 days? (I’m Australian). I’ve been 5 times so far this calendar year, via Air Asia to Don Mueang, and plan to again early December.

Thanks, Bill

TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus among commenters is that there is no strict limit to the number of times you can enter Thailand by air for stays under 30 days as an Australian. However, experiences vary, and some users reported hearing of informal limits being enforced by customs or immigration officers. It’s advised to have necessary documentation, such as a return ticket and proof of funds, as a precaution.

It’s up to customs how many times after 2 times they let you in. I read many stories of people beeing denied entry this year. If you have time to make a proper visa, I would do so

It is actually up to immigration, not customs ;) and yes a proper visa is recommended.

I heard there is a limit of three in/outs per calendar year now. One friend got in on a fourth bit was told it was the last one they would allow for the year. I hope that I am wrong. Things are changing fast.

sure I have done 5-6 times a year before like many. It is up to the customs officer. I have had two friend tell me in the last month they were told 3 entries per year by the customs officer.

true, but seen as he isnt staying over 30 days on each entry, i cant see it being much of an issue. But you never know.

In saying that, some immigration officers are questioning people with a long history of visa exemptions and tourist visas. Goo luck on your 6th attempt
