Is a letter from the US Embassy needed to transfer my Non-O visa stamp to a new passport in Thailand?

I did it earlier this year. US Embassy not issuing the letter anymore. I took my old and new passport to the Koh Samui Immigration and they transferred the stamp. Had to fill out a document or two.

What should I do if I see the 'override' screen when trying to file a TM30 online in Thailand?

For me, when I am logged in, sometimes the system hangs, so I 'X' out of it and then attempt to sign back in again. That is when I get that message. But I don't seem to get the message if I wait more than 15 or so minutes to log back in. Regardless, if I see the message then I will click 'ok' to override.

At Samui I've never gotten retirement visa stamped the same day. Usually get it the following week. Done 3 or 4 of them.

Just called the Immigration Office in Koh Samui and they said I could come in up to 3 weeks prior to the expiration of my Retirement Visa.
