Here's the actual free policy issued to me by Emirates, which is actually issued by AIG and looks just like the standard AIG Travelguard policy that someone can buy themselves. This is what is submitted to get COE. The free policy covers the exact dates of your roundtrip ticket which in my case was 90 days, but it can cover a maximum period of up to 1 year according to Emirates/AIG. The consulate has no way to tell this isn't a policy you bought from AIG so they have no reason to deny your COE due to this.

Wow, Garrett, I am really surprised by such an aggressive response. Instead of asking me for proof, you outright declared me a liar. Considering how many years I've been a somewhat active member of multiple groups about Thailand that you are in, I'm surprised you would react to my post this way and not at least show the courtesy to ask me for more information. I'll take some time to look for the proof for you, but I must call you out for reacting this way.

Yes, the 45 day visa exempt entry can be extended one time for 30 days, and potentially after that, you can extend repeatedly for the 60 day Covid extensions if they extend that program past the current late July end date.

Are you sure you want to trust a visa agent that gives you such erroneous info?

At least in Samui, when I asked last week, they are not converting any international licenses / IDPs to new Thai licenses. Only renewals.
