Hello people, first of all I've been reading a lot of posts and managed to request visa. Thank you for everyone of you giving away free and useful information!  However, I don't see people talking about this much. I'm wondering if it is okay to book free cancellation on Agoda to apply for visa and COE then cancel due to the price, and I book another direct ASQ hotel since it is cheaper? Worried that there will be issues with immigration or something 😥Thank you so much in advance!

Sorry I didn't make it clear enough. In visa and COE, I use ASQ hotel booking from Agoda since it is free cancellation and I will have the pre-paid booking confirmation and everything to show immigration. Once the visa and COE approves, I will cancel the ASQ hotel on Agoda and book another ASQ hotel directly with hotel as it is cheaper. I wonder if they will find out that I've changed ASQ before arrival and will I be in trouble. I'm also aware of the Thai PASS thingy but I just want to be safe in case nothing changes for unvaxxed and that COE is still needed. Thank you so much :)

you can't do it and you will be breaking your agreement to abide by the conditions of entry and the COE.

Your ASQ hotel sends driver to the airport to pick you up, you don't show but your name is on passenger list of flight, you are going to be hunted down. Don't play games in Thailand.

can't be done. The airport officials have an exact list of incoming passengers and what ASQ Hotel they are at and escort you through baggage claim and directly to the specific driver from your hotel that registered with the airport that they are waiting for you.

the point of an ASQ was tbat your location was known while in quarantine. When you come through airport your papers are checked and you are taken to the area where your hotel vehicle picks you up. If you try to beat the system you could end up in jail. Personally, if you cant afford asq or want to cheat it, you present a risk to our society and you should not come.

Wait 13 days, it looks like Thai Pass may well only require 1 night in hotel whilst you wait for test result

I don’t see why not…it also helps against you not getting your COE (until 1 Nov) approved…but if you can hold out 13 more days then the COE turns into the Thai PASS which everyone has theories about but nobody knows how it will work…good luck
