Use an agent there as the cost is not more than tuk tuk costs you'll pay. My Son used one 2 months ago that I informed him of for his 4th tv. No problems.

,everyone must be extremely careful of one of the so called amazing agents in Penang, for any visa type other than a tv. In my case,with all correct supporting and verified paper work that he read,he told me I'd not qualify for a NON O,BUT for 1500 baht equivalent he would try. Next day I went to the Consulate and following day had my NON O !

The way it was said, could easily be miscconstrued by a novice traveller.

The question is about Will you have to show an onward ticket and yes you may well have to at the border!

. Agreed. I don't know why so many seem to think they're saving the visa fee or whatever but usually end up paying 1900 baht after 30 days anyway, and have the added concerns of not having a visa to board a flight.

I sent the British embassy my accountants tax summary and the baht. All good and back next day and verified.

To my knowledge no embassy or consulate in any adjoining country offers same day service.
