To my knowledge no embassy or consulate in any adjoining country offers same day service.

Nope. Submit application 9:00 - 11:00 am first day. Pick up 14:00-16:00 pm the following day 150 MR. Copy of passport front page. Two passport photos. Onward flight confirmation required. If you can't provide any of those there's a very helpful chap outside Consulate who can provide them all - for a fee.

no agency can pick up the next morning anymore, it was possible till few months ago, new consulate chief changed the rules: pick up starts 2pm of the day after. for everybody.

For the onward ticket, is it okay if the ticket is past 60 days of the visa? Because i would be extending our stay for 30 days on top of the tourist visa.

nope, turn in the application in the morning and pick up your passport the next afternoon.

AFAIK none of the thai consulates in the area offer same day service anymore
