if you are fairly new to Thailand, the first thing you will learn is that the law always refers to..... this is the law but it is up to the individual/ immagration officers discretion..... so no matter what the law says they always leave room for their authority in place. Never argue and say "the law says" you will create your own downfall.....
beg to differ... it stays immagration official's discretion.. during Covid they started with letters from our embassy saying we couldn't travel. Which they told me when I arrived for my renewal. So next day I went to get my letter and rushed back immagration and they told me I am 1day late, and have to pay a fine of 500baht. I told them it was because of the new changes.. she told me flatout to pay or just go... needles to say
My one school where I use to work, ties were a requirement. I haven't used in 2 years but never know what my next school will require.... so keep them for incase..😁
