It’s probably correct , there has been a handful of other people that have had the same experience, they probably deemed that you didn’t need a 5 year visa.

I’d suggest use the tourist visa, get your documents in order then later re apply from a different embassy when your tourist visa is finished ✅

Australia is like the second highest DTV fee I believe New Zealand is higher

John, I applied this way and got it.its all in the wording of the documents.

There has been other oil rig workers and miners that have also gotten the visa this way.

To put it simply I take some meetings online while in Thailand therefore ima “remote worker”

This individual could do the same.

Im not saying you are wrong or that I am correct. But it’s Thailand it’s up to the individual and the circumstances on how they interpret the visa
