TLDR : Answer Summary
The length of time you need to maintain a specific amount of money in your bank account for a Thai visa application varies by embassy. Officially, the requirement is often 6 months, but some embassies may accept 0 to 3 months. It's advisable to check the specific requirements of the Thai embassy or consulate where you plan to apply.

As most other requirements it depends on which Thai Embassy you intend to apply at, so turn you attention to that ( or those ) Embassy only, and forget everything else you read.

Make a Embassy specific search of the group.
