TLDR : Answer Summary
The duration for which money needs to be held in your account varies depending on the specific Thai Embassy or consulate you are applying to. Officially, it is generally stated as 6 months; however, different embassies may have different interpretations, and some may even accept deposits held for shorter periods, such as 0 or 3 months. It is important to check the requirements on the website of the embassy you are applying to for accurate information.

As most other requirements it depends on which Thai Embassy you intend to apply at, so turn you attention to that ( or those ) Embassy only, and forget everything else you read.

Make a Embassy specific search of the group.
