I’ve looked at various methods from Wise to wire transfers and Wise seemed like the best. Wire transfer you don’t get as good a rate and the Thai bank may charge an incoming wire fee. Wise rate is good and the fee comes out to a little under 1% like others said, it’s part of the rhe cost of coming to Thailand.

I take them off and put them in the owner's manual if they are important.

The question you really should ask is why Thais like to leave them on their appliances. It's like they keep them as a badge of honor. 🤣

If you are not changing location and you informed immigration where you will stay during your visit, no. The TM30 must be filed every 90 days or if you change location like go to a hotel. You are here only 75 days. By the way, your landlord is either stupid or lying. Depending on what kind of visa he has he has to report every 90 days anyway so he probably IS filing a TM30 but just too stupid to know it. If you want to be safe, just file it yourself when you go to get your extension.

Required also of US citizens. This is a BS Thai requirement. The US embassy does not even guarantee the information on the form is accurate therefore one can lie and the embassy does not care. They just put their stamp of approval on it and I pay $50. Then I have to pay another $15 to get it translated. Thai government loves paperwork and making things as difficult as possible for farangs.
