All online. The London embassy is pretty quick for a visa turnaround if yiu have submitted all the correct supporting documents, although they state to expect 2 working weeks. The DTV details are on the thai embassy E visa website. The only soft power activities than can be used for a DTV are Muay thai, hospital or dental treatment plan and a cooking class. These all need to be for a reasonable period of time ~ 6 months and the provider needs to be accredited so they can provide documentation that is acceptable to the thai authorities. Learning thai language is not one of those activities that is accepted by the DTV
The 800k baht is for each of you and in accounts in your own name
If you apply for the non o over 50 retirement visa in your home country then this will make it easier to open a bank account and it doesn't require compulsory health insurance. You get 60days visa exempt if you are from one of the named countries. I would suggest you have non o each before you enter thailand
you haven't lost any of the visa, you get 3 months to use it. When you arrive anytime within those 3 months you'll get stamped in for the visa duration
hi Paul I know when I applied I flew from Manchester via doha then to bangkok. I put flying from Manchester (UK). For the TDAC the flight number I gave when entering thailand was the flight number from doha to bangkok.
The thai embassy in London is pretty quick to turnaround a non O, typically they say 2 working weeks , I got mine recently within that time and I applied for mine 2 months before I was due to travel
When is your arrival date you put on the visa application? I had mine approved within the 2 working weeks they suggest (London). They said it could have been earlier but because I had applied 2 months before my trip that they were dealing with more urgent requests first. So it could take upto 2 weeks.
