You've heard wrong. The only age condition is over 21. Why shouldn't over 50's be digital nomads? I can upload a moronic video about Thailand to YouTube once a week!

I'm an international traveller. I haven't filed a 90-day report since the heady days of covid, because I'm never in the country that long. The 180 days will be a pinch of salt. I'll just think of all the benefits over a non-O.!

It's all rubbish what you're hearing. Pensions will not be taxed. Enjoy yourself in Thailand and have a great time!!

I'm up for this one! The non-O retirement is getting the flick at next extension. Cheapest Five year visa, with no 65k transfers, no compulsory Insurance, no visits to immigration! This is a game changer

It's only ever investigated if someone complains. In all the years I've been here I only know of one case, and that's where the wife of a remote working farang was showing off to a neighbour how much her husband was making working online. In typical Thai woman jealousy, the neighbours reported the matter to immigration, who swooped on the house, confiscated the computer, analysed it and kicked the farang out with a three year ban. I tend to think the neighbour may have had friends in the police so they went to the furthest extent. That's why I always tell people to just keep their mouths shut

Nowhere on any government website does it say extensions are 10,000 baht. But I'm talking border bouncing - no need to even visit immigration. A bit like the OA which was two years, but the DTV is five years. A border bounce is NOT an extension. And the DTV is multi-entry for five years. It's a no brainer. I won't be transferring money into Thailand so there's no tax to pay anyway.

I already said I'll be bouncing at the 180 day mark, and I'm sure most other people will probably too. I doubt the extension will be 10,000 baht, it'll be the same as others at 1,900 baht. But for me the convenience of Chong Mek is a done deal. I think the LTR is a dead duck now

Someone posted this one earlier. This is from the London Embassy which is charging £300 which is similar to the Australian price. People are already whining, but Jesus! It's bloody cheap for what it is and what it offers. It's FIVE YEARS for heaven's sake. What's wrong with these people?
