I went down to my bank and asked a worker for a Letter of Good Standing. It’s a letter showing the balance of whatever accounts you would like and it’s got the signature/stamp of the branch manager. And then I also supplied screenshots of the last month of my transactions to create my own “statement”.
Anonymous participant No problem! I know it feels like overkill lol I felt the same for our daughter but we just rolled with it to avoid any hassle at all 😂
Our daughter was 3 and we got a dependent visa for her. Officials are starting to crack down on visas and I would always say it’s better safe than sorry, personally. I wouldn’t risk one stubborn immigration officer denying me entry because I didn’t want to get my child a visa.
Friends of ours who have been here for almost a decade didn’t get a visa for their baby who was born here and they just went on a trip to Japan and their baby got a red stamp for overstay in his passport. They wound up letting him back into Thailand but that entire time they were gone they didn’t know if they were going to be able to make it back in.
Agreed. I’m not sure what it is about the expat groups that have to do with Thailand specifically but whether it’s this page or the expat specific pages, the amount of snarky people highly outweighs the helpful ones. And it’s not like that on other countries visa pages lol
I do my best to stick to the nomad girls groups when I need information (if possible) because they’re a lot more supportive and helpful than other groups.
We brought our two dogs over from the US. We had a bit of a nightmare experience with Qatar Airways and wound up having to hire someone to bring them over. We used Pawsitive Pet Transport Flight Nanny Services and she was AMAZING.
I also had this issue when I applied so I went down to my bank and got a Letter of Good Standing and took screenshots of the transaction history for whatever was missing from the most recent statement, and sent it over. Did the trick.
