Yes you are required to provide a proposed date of arrive with flight number 🙏

This sounds like a whole lot of common sense from all of the comments on my post

thank you! As you would know as a “rising contributor” this visa has created a lot of myths and mystery in the 338 days it has been available. Again appreciate your insights & feedback!

Correct Anonymous participant 226 Apparently an extension means prolonging the current validity of your existing visa before it expires. So maybe both 90 & 180 days are extensions. Who really knows!
Richard ******
That’s exactly what I did get Anonymous participant 699
Richard ******
My understanding is a renewal is at the 180 day limit and an extension is at 90 days at immigration. I may very well be wrong and happy to be corrected or informed otherwise Anonymous participant 699

I did not need an embassy it was a 180 renewal done following an overnight stay in Vietnam after my first 180 days in Thailand 🙏 Anonymous participant 226

@Arnold ****
thank you for the vote of confidence! I am leaving for Vietnam tomorrow and I am returning on Wednesday with no return flight anywhere, as I plan to stay and use my full five year DTV. I’m picking the outcome for you with no return flight was positive?
Richard ******
This is something that’s impossible to do Joe Flanagan no airline allows you to book a flight five years in advance I do know that. Makes me wonder whether the immigration people actually understand the DTV!
