Why when applying for the DTV do they ask what flight number you will be on? I haven't even bought my ticket yet.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the DTV (Digital Tourist Visa), you are required to provide a flight number and an intended arrival date, even if you haven't purchased your ticket yet. Many users suggest that you can enter any flight number or a random date, as it appears that the authorities do not strictly verify this information. The requirement seems to be for record-keeping purposes, rather than a binding commitment to a specific flight.
I don't get why, they don't care. They'll approve the visa when they want. My arrival flight to Thailand has to be changed/cancelled since I don't have my e visa yet
I think i got this info wrong but i could not justify why they would want my info to the applying consulate country. So i put my intended arrival flight INTO THAILAND . This was the only question i could not figure out so when i was approved for my visa i put the same for my wife and we both got it so i dont think they care much about it. Hope this helps π
