Thank you for all the advice here. It maybe easier to get the minimum visa here, a little more $ required for the covid insurance but appears less trips to immigration?
Thanks once again Tod. Would this mean that would be 3 trips to immigration then? Just to save on the covid insurance. Or me being a tight asset I should just buy 60 day visa here and that would only be 1 trip to immigration for the extension of stay afterwards. I know it would be an additional 30 days payment on the required 60 day Visa
Hi Greg, I bought one before I left Australia. When I purchased the 90 Visa. I assumed that I needed a 1 yr covid insurance knowing I was then going to apply for an extension of stay on marriage. But from what the guys are saying on here. Only need to buy a 90 visa from Aus, the covid insurance for that 90 day visa. Then when 90 days is up and I apply for the extension of stay that this will not be required or asked for.
Thanks Benjamin, lesson learnt I did this process last year but I bought a 1 yr covid insurance. Nice to know a 90 day one will safice pre applying for the 1yr extension of stay based on marriage. Thank you
Hi Benjamin, thanks for the quick reply. Got it! Just if I enter on the 90day visa I need to cover the covid insurance for that period, ok. But when that elapse and then I am applying for the 1yr extension of stay based on marriage, will they make me apply for Covid insurance again as part of that application?
