What is the correct procedure for my 90-day visa report in Thailand, and does reporting online affect my extension?

Hello and thank you for your assistance once again.

My question is about the 90 day reporting. I have never done it online before but will attempt this time.

I reported my first 90 days in person at CW on the 15 June 2022. I was therefore stamped to notify my address again on the 14 September 2022.

I was told by the Immigration officer if I report on line to do it 15 days earlier?

Does this mean I lose 15 days of the extension to stay and that would make me apply for the next extension earlier?

Also if she said 15 days earlier wouldn't that make it the 31 August 2022?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on the 90-day reporting process for their visa in Thailand, specifically about reporting online and the timing of their next extension. They reported in person on June 15, 2022, and received a stamp for their address on September 14, 2022. A misunderstanding arises from information received about reporting online 15 days prior to the due date, and whether this means they would lose days on their extension. Commenters clarify that reporting online allows for submissions starting 15 days before the due date, and that earlier reporting will not affect the extension expiry date.

Thank you Elle. I was just wondering why she stamped 14 September. This obviously means in person and that it would be like you said, 15 day before on line.

Thank you...

Immigration offices count days usually including the day of origin. You can try your 90 days report online on and after 31st August until 14th September.

IO meant you CAN report once you pass 15 days before your due date, not you MUST report 15 days in advance.

If you report 90 days earlier, your next 90 days report due is the 90th day from the reporting date. and it would never affect your extension even if you report earlier or later, your extension expiry does stay the same. Go online and try reporting when 15 days before your due date.

Your report may or may not be approved on the first try. If rejected you would still have some time to retry even a few times more before you have to go to the immigration office to report in person again.

90days report windows are:

- At the local immigration office: 15 days before until 7 days after the due date

- Online: 15 days before until the due date

- By legacy mail (EMS from Thailand Post): post stamped at least 15 days before the due date
