Could I please ask about the in (Thai) country Non 0, 90 day visa married to a Thai.

I had several dramas this time round so I had to border out and back in on a 30 day tourist. I am going to apply for the above 90 day visa, but wanted to ask;

* Do I need to take the wife for that, or only when I apply afterwards for the extension part?

The funds (40k monthly) was the issue here (again), (But). I decided to save the dramas and deposit the 400k baht. NOW IN...

*How does it work, season for two months prior to the extension? After you receive the extension you can spend down, but must top back up to the 400k baht the following extension?

Kind regards,

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the process of applying for an in-country Non-O visa based on their marriage to a Thai national. They seek clarification on whether they need to bring their wife along during the initial application and how the funds requirement of 400,000 baht is managed regarding visa extensions. It is advised that the wife must be present during the initial application and any subsequent extensions, while the 2-month seasoning of funds applies only to the 1-year extension.

the O/P uses Chaengwattana bangkok so I think at this point they have enough info and can get their initial non-O visa applied for here in the near future

You have not mentioned which office you will use. Some require 2 months seasoning for the NON O. Pattaya is one, as an example. Check first at the office you will use to make sure.

Q. * Do I need to take the wife for that, or only when I apply afterwards for the extension part?

-> You must bring your wife when applying for an in-country Non-O visa and a following 1-year extension.

You always bring "the reason" for your visa or extension, in your case, it's your wife.

Q. *How does it work, season for two months prior to the extension? After you receive the extension you can spend down, but must top back up to the 400k baht the following extension?

- Generally, no minimum period of your funds of 400K baht to stay in your account for the initial in-country visa. 2 months of seasoning on the day of application is required for only a 1-year extension but for every time.

, no, i don't think it's that complicated.

You enter on a Non-Imm visa for 90 days within the visa (from the embassy/consulate) validity, then apply for an extension within that 90 days.
