that is how everybody at the school stays in Thailand, its not anything up, it's a legit thing that happens. We got stuck here in lockdown and have made a life for ourselves, he goes to school. We want to stay. Its a legit reason for being here and it's not in anyway frowned upon. I don't get your comment
no it's ok, it's a international school and he goes everyday. I'm more annoyed that I've tried to do everything the right way, and my son dosnt even technically need a visa, I just needed to get it so I could get a visa too. Which I can't, so its money litterally down the drain 😭
I'm been on this visa process for 2 months, they never told me that I would need a visa, they knew I was on amnesty, they just told me that once my son has his, I can get mine. Go there yesterday and they tell me I need a visa to convert it, get a education visa/volenteer visa or get married. Drives me crazy I've jumped through all their hoops, tried to do everything right and it the end they pretty much tell me to get (in my opinion) a non-legit visa, through a agency 😖 I was pretty much ready to say stuff it and go back to the UK yesterday, I've just filled out some forms for a education visa though, I guess I'm still trying
there are lots of places offering Ed visas, genuine and these miraculous ones you can send a passport to when they are a 14 hour drive away. Immigration pretty much just told me themselves to get one
To be honest I just don't want to go back to the UK in all this craziness, my son has friends here and we are happy. I don't hate it here, and I've tried jumping through all their hoops, I just wish they would be more honest and not make me buy visas for my child who dosnt even bloody need one, and then pretty much recommend I go with a dodgy company instead of doing things the right way like I've been trying. Honesty gets you no where here 😢
