TLDR : Answer Summary
The standard fee for a Covid extension in Thailand is 1,900 baht, despite some reports suggesting a higher charge of 3,500 baht at certain immigration offices. Several commenters confirm that the fee should not exceed 1,900 baht, and they suggest that any additional charges might be an attempt to solicit extra 'tea money' or tips. It's also advised to always request an official receipt for any payments made.

If you have used an agent for any extension in the past they will try to charge you 3.5k baht since this is "agent price" and you are in the system. If you haven't, it can simply be that the Krabi office is notorious for working with agencies and will try to take their tea money anyways.
You tell them you must get an official receipt (blue paper) and all monies paid to them must be listed and accounted for on the receipt. 1,900 baht for any extension. No more. no less.
If you get the Covid extension it’s ฿1,900 if you don’t get the extension you will get the 7 day stamp to get out of Thailand…immigration is acting tight since the opening on 1 Nov…good luck
That’s really difficult. You could kick up a fuss, but the covid extension is not automatic, it’s at the discretion of the immigration officer. I would try a different office. Phuket is real easy.
we’ve heard of reports from some offices that charge a different price for the “quick” version where you don’t get an under consideration stamp and get the full 60 days. Can’t confirm that’s the case but it sounds like it.
you can try asking them if you can pay the 1900 for the slow version with the under consideration stamp and see if they'll do that or just pay the 3500 for the same day service.
