Hello!

Anyone here on a education visa but has a dependant child? I'm wondering how this can work, because without visa I'm sure our travel insurance would be invalid ๐Ÿ™ is there a visa available for child like this?? Thank you ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, a child can obtain their own visa while the parent is on an education visa in Thailand. The child can apply for a Non-Immigrant ED visa if attending school, or a Non-Immigrant O visa as a dependent. This allows for a legal stay in the country and ensures travel insurance remains valid.

The child can get her own Non Immigrant ED visa if it goes to school in Thailand or the Non Immigrant O visa as dependent and later the Extension of Stay based on 2.11 In the case of being a family member

of an alien who has been permitted a

temporary stay in the Kingdom for study

in an educational institution according to

Clauses 2.8 or 2.9 hereof (applicable only

to parents, spouse, children, adopted

children, or spouseโ€™s children):

I'm already in Thailand. So would be krabi immigration I expect, or is this something I have to leave the country for? Appreciate your help ๐Ÿ˜…

you can only apply at a Thai Consulate, your child at the moment does not have a valid stay left for a conversion into a visa
