Can anyone recommend a agent that can open a bank account for me please?

I'm loosing the will to live with so many ropes to jump over to get a visa. You need a visa to get the bank account, need a bank account to get a visa ๐Ÿ˜ญ I got a rental agreement, I got a letter from immigration, I got my son a year's visa (he's 5) and still cannot even get them to consider opening me an account, and I take my Thai friend with me ๐Ÿ˜

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat shares their struggle to open a bank account in Thailand, mentioning the circular dependency of needing a visa to open an account and vice versa. Community members recommend specific banks like Krungsri, Bangkok Bank, and Kasikornbank, as well as going directly to banks rather than using agents. They suggest bringing a Thai friend for assistance, and successful experiences are shared, indicating it's possible to open accounts even on tourist visas with the right documentation.

Vip visa, (on "Line" or FB) 500 bht, they will do all the legwork, on any visa.

Kasikornbank no problem. go to main branch.

Shelley, do you have a stable income, do you somehow work in Thailand? Usually Kasikornbank is quite easy but certainly you have to have some amount to be put in, otherwise youโ€™ll be rejected anywhere

We opened an account easily with similar documentation to you at Krung Thai in Robinson, Phetchaburi. This was only a few months ago. No problems at all.

Did you Try UOB??? ITS very straight and smooth with perfect app. Debit card ! I was in same dilemma until I got 1,.

Walk into Bangkok Bank branches until one of them let you open an account. It all depends on if the staff is used to foreigners or not. It is not a technical or visa issue, it just depends on the willingness of the staff at the branch.

Or move to Cambodia and make life a loooooot easier. Things are so much better over there for expats.

Do not use an agent. Just try another bank even just another branch

Usually the Bangkok Bank is doing it, as long as you say that you plan to buy a condo and want to park the money on that account.

Just used an agent for visa - comes with a bank account
Steve *********
You shouldn't need any agents. But do go with an articulate Thai person to speak for you. I've opened 2 bank accounts (with visa debit card) whilst on 30 day visa exemptions.

well, I went with my partner. I have no idea what was said to be honest. I just kept being handed papers to sign or fill in. Whatever it was, it worked.

You donโ€™t need waste money on agent. Just go to any bank and ask. If canโ€™t go to the next one and try
