Can I send my son's birth certificate to the British Embassy in Bangkok for verification instead of traveling there?

I've been told I need to have my son's birth certificate verified by the British Embassy in Bangkok, but I live in Krabi. Has anyone experience with this? Obviously now isn't time to be traveling there in person so I'm wondering if it's possible to send it by post?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on verifying their son's birth certificate at the British Embassy in Bangkok while residing in Krabi. Due to travel constraints, they inquire about the possibility of sending the document by post. Several commenters suggest checking if a photocopy or digital image would suffice, and confirm that documents can indeed be sent to the embassy for stamping and returned by post.

Email and ask exactly as follows “if i send an image of it can it be put that in a letter that confirms it is authentic in the same way you do for passports” that should suffice otherwise it’s the original with a sticker affixed to it

Check first if photo copy is okay and hopefully you can send digitally instead.
