Hello. My son is on a Ed visa with a international school, me a non-O (based on being a guardian of a child in school here)
My visa expires in 6 days, I've been asking the school for the documents and they have just told me (with 7 days notice of my visa expiring) that I need to pay up front for the school year, despite being told for months I can pay monthly.
Anyway, I don't have this money at this short notice and be able to have the seasoned funds in a Thai account.
So anyone know my options here? It seems like getting the Ed visa is impossible with their new policy's and the lack of time. Can I get a covid extension and get the ed visa at a later date?
Can I ask what people's plans are for after the covid extension? Do you think there will be a way to extend it again somehow (maybe tourist visa)even if they stop the covid extension?
Please help, losing my mind

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing an urgent situation as their non-O visa expires in 6 days while trying to secure an Ed visa for their son who is enrolled in an international school. The school has unexpectedly requested upfront payment for the school year, which the user cannot afford immediately. They are inquiring about options for extending their visa under current Thai immigration policies, especially regarding a possible COVID extension, and are seeking advice from others in a similar situation.

the final Covid extension IS the final option. 1 day of quarantine isn't a barrier to entry and flights are coming and going everyday. It doesn't make sense for there to still be an "unable to travel due to Covid" extension anymore
