The answer is yes if youre going through immigration regardless of transitting or not and it does actually dsy on the tdac cards about transit also

Wise is by far the best as everyone says. Just bear in mind if you use Bangkok bank then wise to them can take anything from literally seconds to 48 hours. Only Bangkok bank you won't have the same issue with kasikorn or scb.

If youre in the uk you can set up wise and have the debit card also. Once you've done it then any future replacement cards etc can be sent directly to Thailand no problem

As for it being safe you'll have no problem at all. Ok I've only lived in pattaya and 4 years now in Bangkok but Bangkok is honestly such a safe city to walk around. Of course you wouldn't go wandering around the shanti set ups but you'll not be anywhere near them and to be honest and you can only speak as you find but the thais are such genuine and nice you'll love it.

No as has been said you are not able to deal with thai companies full stop. Where you bill them from is irrelevant. Its illegal to work here on a dtv that's the important part the billing has no relevance whatsoever unfortunately
