Just fly in. You’ll get a 60 day exempt on arrival. Later go to immigration very early in the day, and get another 30 days for 1900 Baht. Go early because it’s very busy.
Good luck Brian…🙏. Did this once. Just for a visit, Think about her Job, Bank account balance, note from employer, aged passport, return ticket, possible interview. I’am sure K1 is different. Might take time.
1900 BAHT at Immigration. Speaking of immigration in Bangkok. 1. Get there before they open and stand in line. 2. If your late expect to break for lunch while they close completely down. 3. Fill out the forms, in line again. Have a passport and an extra photo same size that the girl uses a glue stick to attach it to the application you just filled out. Have an address you can write down. Next wait again for your number to be displayed. Make jokes about carpet bombing Kuwait during desert storm, your number is called, go into office, sit down at one of the windows, pay the 1900 baht, outside again, wait for the girl bringing out a stack of passports, yours included. Pick up and leave. It’s 11:45 and you beat the Lunch break. Mutual hug on the way out with the nice Muslim guy who is very nice.
Koen. My Thai wife is Thai citizen and USA citizen, and I’am just USA citizen. We live in Bangkok. Looking around I contacted a few condo places in Bangkok. We wanted infrastructure within a reasonable walking distance, close to the BTS so we can venture out. We wanted a one bedroom condo, security building, balcony, nice bathroom. Bedroom separate from living room/kitchen, pool in complex. The places I contacted gave me a Farang Price. Like 12,000 baht. When my Thai wife inquired a day later they quoted 9,000 baht. So yes, be careful, maybe have a Thai do your inquiries. Join ThaiFriendly dot com and hire a girl to help you that speaks for you. We did find a place close to Fashion Island Mall and BTS very close. The mall is modern and very large. Good luck Sir.
