Are you sure about that? For example, I know that the "2 weeks" period is wrong, at least from my experience where it has been three weeks or so. Every changes and varies by office, eh?

If 2 weeks is correct somehow, then I'm in the clear. Also, I think that I once did this where I couldn't return for the stamp until AFTER my visa expired, and that was not a problem.

Also, once, I think they offered me "same-day service" for 3,000 Baht.

Why not keep a generic answer on a clipboard somewhere so you can respond decently, much more easily, and even more quickly than typing a snide response to an innocent group member's question?
