Please read up and get your facts straight.

As a Brit, you are visa exempt.

You arrive in Thailand and get a stamp for 60 days stay. You can go to an immigration office while you are there and extend it for a further 30 days.

NO, this has not changed.

There is talks of it but it has not happened and with the earthquake and the tariff war this will happen into the future.

Make your plans as normal and go enjoy yourself.

Yes. All foreigners have to do this when travelling to Thailand. Even if you have a long stay visa or any visa of any sort, you have to do it every time before you enter Thailand.

Even if you live in Thailand and just fly out for a meeting to Malaysia and you are out the country for just six hours, you have to do it before you enter Thailand.

When you scan your fingers, all the info comes up.

If you scanned your passport on your way out, it is registered on the system that you left the country with that passport. So, no problem.

You are over thinking this.

Your passport is valid as it is till expiry date.

You will never be questioned on this where ever in the world you go as long as it is valid including your SA.

As mentioned, there is no red asterisk next to it, so it is not mandatory.

Leave it blank.

I have had friends with just three months left on their passports. They went for a month holiday, no problem.

But it would be regrettable if your situation is deemed differently.

Nothing has changed.

You are visa exempt.

That means you get 60 days.

So for your length of stay, you do nothing.

You have to go online however to do the TDAC. It will be a simple online form you will complete.

NO uploading of documents.

You do this in the three days before you depart. You will instantaneously get an email with a QR code. Print it and take it with you to show at immigration.
