Drivers license letter from immigration was another document I got from Immigration too, otherwise the fee would have been less from them.
That’s an easy and necessary ID if you are staying long term.
Tourist can get by on International Permit, but if you are here long term, required to get a Thai license which is super easy if you have a valid international permit already.
Tourist areas like Hua Hin, Cha Am areas are very easy to get this done with out an agent, if you have a non immigration O visa or other long term visa (tourist visa is a problem).
Passport, passport photo, non immigration O 90 day stamp, letter from my condo, about 200 baht fee, hour waiting at immigration office and I had the letter for the bank. I went straight to Korsikan Bank, gave them the letter, 700 baht to open a savings account, 300 Baht for ATM card filled out paperwork and walked out with a bank account book and ATM card.
In total, just a couple hours and about 500 baht in fees.
You are mistaken. An acquaintance I met on one of these groups has helped me with my application, and he just received his last month and he shared that it was with his submissions of lease agreements on his rental properties back home.
FYI, if you have investments or pension that provide you a $80,000.00 a year income? The Long Term Resident “Wealthy Pensioner” visa is the best way to go.
I gave them above and beyond what they asked for. I’m frustrated they asked for tax returns which don’t show the full extent as the veterans benefits are not taxable and therefore aren’t on my taxes 🤦🏻♂️
