This has been going on in Samutprakan Immigration for a while now. You need to report your address everytime you go out of the country and return even if your address has not changed it is 'pain in the arse'. If you return to Thailand on the weekend Samutprakan will allow you to report the following Monday without the fine. Each immigration seems to have their own procedures on this and timings you need to check with the immigration in your area.
Who is shouting out new requirements? and I thought this was a site to try and find out what is going on for visa related issues? The facts are an official at Samutprakan has told our teacher and phoned our school t0 advise all visa extensions for teachers need to be accompanied by a new police check each time from the PCSCenter. So teachers be warned.
Joseph Michael Pedro III Thank you , yes please check. They are not asking for a check from your home country but one from the tourist police in Siam. It is all possible but it takes time to do.
As you know it can take a few days to get it so if this is a new requirement for teachers or others people need to know so they can prepare documents in time.
. As teachers we are aware we have to supply one for the first extension but never been asked for it for further extensions until my colleague was asked today.
I don't know why immigration are questioning the degree. My understanding is the MOE would do the questioning if they are happy, they then issue a teaching license waiver if you do not have an education degree or a 5yr license if you do. The teachers license or 2 year waiver should be enough for immigration? I believe this is the process for most schools however I think if you work for an agency the procedure may be different and they may want to see the degree. This Is Thailand rules and regulations change constantly!! lol
