Moving jobs and obtaining a new extension of stay based on employment. Usually will cancel one extension of stay and wp and obtain the new extension of stay and wp the same day. However, in this instance the paperwork for the new wp and extension of stay can be completed on the same day as my existing extension of stay expires. I presume this is fine or do I need any stamps from the immigration office for my expiring extension of stay as I am using a different immigration office?
TLDR : Answer Summary
When moving jobs in Thailand and applying for a new extension of stay and work permit, it is generally necessary to cancel the existing extension at the immigration office. It is advisable to gather termination paperwork from your current employer and visit the immigration office approximately a week before the expiry of your current extension. This allows you to get stamped until the termination date, giving you time to obtain the necessary documentation from your new employer to apply for the new extension at a different immigration office.
