Is there a limit to how many times you can extend your 60 day Covid extension? A colleague of mine was advised by immigration in July that this would be his last one? His present Covid extension expires on the 27th Sept.

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no official limit on the number of times you can extend your 60-day Covid-19 extension in Thailand; it ultimately depends on the discretion of the immigration officer handling your case. While many hope for extensions to continue, it remains uncertain if the measures will be extended beyond the latest expiration date.

As Benjamin said it’s up to the officer you apply to. That being said there is no limit by law as to how many times you can apply. The latest date is currently the 27th of September, but that’s widely expected to be extended-although we won’t know much until closer to that date if it will be. Coin toss moment. Will it won’t it.

The 60 day extesion of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 is an OPTIONAL extension, and is up to each immigration officer to decide if they would approve it or not. It is not used as a long-term stay in Thailand.
