What documentation is needed for a 60-day COVID extension in Thailand and is it feasible to switch from a Non-B visa while waiting for new paperwork?

What do you need to show for the 60day covid extension? I have a new teacher who is switching schools (different province) already on a non b extension. However due to closures of offices, such as legalization of documents etc and delays I don't think we can get all the documents ready in time to switch from one NonB to another before she leaves her existing school. I was therefore wondering if it is possible to cancel the Non B from the previous school, apply for a 60 day covid extension and then get all the paperwork ready to convert the covid extension to a new Non B. Do you think this is feasible?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A teacher in Thailand looking to switch schools under a Non-B visa is inquiring about the feasibility of applying for a 60-day COVID extension if unable to prepare all necessary documentation for a new Non-B visa before the current school term ends. According to comments, it is essential to obtain a termination letter from the current school to apply for the COVID extension. Documentation needed may include copies of the passport, current visa stamp, TM6, TM30 receipt, photos, and forms from the immigration office. It is also advised to check with the local immigration office for specific requirements and protocols, as processes may vary.

For Covid extension application, also better to check the local immigration office. You might need these but these may be not all or more than necessary depends on the immigration office.

copies of passport

- data page

- current extension / visa stamp (or sticker)

- current entry stamp

copy of tm6

receipt of TM30

passport size photos

embassy letter (or proof they don't issue)

filled tm7 and pack of other forms (that you will get at IO)

fee

Ok thanks for the advice

She needs a cancelation/termination letter/documentation from her current school anyway to apply for a 60days Covid extension. Once she applies for the cancellation of the current extension, she can apply for a 60days Covid extension.

You had better ask your local immigration office If she can apply for a new non-B for a new school - if her new employer can meet all requirements for in-country new Non-B. Depends on IO if they allow in-country non-B for teachers.

I should also like to add. I do understand the process to cancel the work permit and visa with the schools assistance and letter. I was just wondering if she could then get the 60 day extension straight away or if she needed some additional paperwork?
