I will be moving between jobs in July and they may be a month or two from leaving one job and starting another. At present i am on an extension of stay based on employment. I am looking to get an extension of stay based on marriage just for 3 months. I think I can do this by going to Vientiane in July (depending on covid situation?) with my wife and applying. Looking at the website it would appear I can do this. My questions are :-
1. Do I need a specific amount of days left on my present Non-B before I apply for the Non 0 extension? 2) Do I need to show any funds? The website seems to indicate I may need to show a bank statement with 100,000 baht ? The other documentation I understand and can supply.
Thanks in anticipation for any advice.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is transitioning between jobs and seeks advice on whether they can obtain a Non-O visa extension based on marriage while currently on an extension of stay based on employment. Questions include how long before the current visa expires they can apply for the new extension, and whether proof of funds is necessary. Feedback from the community suggests that once the employment extension is canceled, the user has options for applying for a Non-O visa either abroad or potentially staying in Thailand depending on the situation.
