Thanks. Of course, I understand the consequences. But, I'm just wondering how, if at all, they would ever find out, if you don't tell them and/or the Employer is not required to tell them?
Brandon, I am curious about this (asked same Q. to someone else's Post today and awaiting answer): How does Immigration know your Work Permit has been cancelled if you don't tell them? Does the Employer separately Notify Immigration, and then it's cross-noted in Employee's computer record at Immigration? Thanks.
Stuart, how does Immigration (or specifically, the Immigration Officer stamping your exit upon departure), know whether or not your separate Work Permit has been cancelled (versus simply seeing your permitted date of Stay from your original Visa) -- i.e. Does the Employer notify Immigration, and that is then noted in their computers on the employee's file?
I never said it was not "relevant". Indeed, that was my point, that OP's original inquiry was 2-part, Timing and Where. Again, I thought answer with regard to "Timing" was unclear, and Mark's latest question again shows it was. Agree to disagree! And, at least, I provided OP with contact info. for Ko Somui Immig. Office, so he can actually get the right answer.
