I rather have cool aircon with plenty of leg room and toilet than jam into a tiny van with so many people. Getting up at 3am so i can make it to the visa ran van... no, i rather go in the later afternoon and sleep in the bus.

Cos lao is a much nicer place. Stamp in and out. Cambodia immigration will need you to stay at least 24 hours or over night. Unless you like to go with a visa ran company in their tiny warm van with no leg room.

go google "nakornchai air", it is a bus service from near mo chit bus station (they have their own bus station) to nong khai bus station (about 700b to 800b) (aircon is cold and seat is comfortable) , than take a tuk tuk (about 80b) to the thai immigration, stamp out, and buy a ticket get on a bus (i think about 20 plus baht) it will take you to lao immigration to get stamp in, turn left and get stamp out. (very peaceful and nice place, the bus is very comfortable.) ((do not take the cheap bus, they will stop and stop and stop everywhere, no toilet and most have old terrible seats and aircon that is not cold.))

If you leave the country without a re-entry permit, it is automatically cancelled?

they are giving out Q number at 7am, than you can go buy food and get back and wait at 8am. for them to open at 8.30am.

arrival at 5.40am, not much people. no traffic as well.

i get pull every time now :( even with a visa, cos the passport is full of in and out. Yes, it only gets more often. They spoke to my thai bf many times. Now going to get a marriage visa and end the whole crappy visa run.
