TLDR : Answer Summary
The closest border to Cambodia from Bangkok for a border bounce is Aranyaprathet. While some travelers have reported crossing to Cambodia and back on the same day, it's important to note that there are risks involved with this method, such as potential issues with Thai immigration. Alternative crossings like Ban Pakkad and Cham Yeam are suggested for DIY trips, as they are reported to be safer and less prone to scams compared to Poipet. Travelers are generally advised to plan for at least one night's stay in Cambodia to comply with local regulations.

Dont go cam, you might be able to get stamp back at cam side, as they have a law that says you need to stay for 24 hours. Go buy a bus ticket at nakornchai air to nong khai, and take a tuk tuk (80b) to the thai custom, than get on a 30b bus to lao custom. Very comfortable bus with toilet and they will give you drinks and food.

if you want to do it by yourself, AVOID Poipet/Aranypathet at any costs! You will get scammed there. Better use the Ban Pakkad border or the Khlong Yai/Cham Yeam border point

it takes too long to explain. There's a scam running at the Poipet border. You can find warnings all over many visa advice Facebook groups. Don't try Poipet without an agent

I think agents avoid that border. Not because of scams but because it's strict

Not necessarily true, I've used the border crossing in Trat to Laem Khlat, didn't need to stay the night. Stamped out of Thailand, stamped in to Cambodia, there for less than 15 mins and then stamped back in to Thailand. We paid an extra 300b per person instead of staying the night.

You were able to do a border bounce at Laem Khlat? That's amazing, as you cannot find Laem Khlat mentioned in any Facebook Visa Advice group, as being a border point a foreigner can use. I know of at least five people who did a border run starting from Ko Chang, and they had to use the Khlong Yai/Cham Yeam border instead. It seems you were lucky to meet a few friendly officials who were happy you paid for their lunch πŸ˜„

you've got me questioning myself now πŸ˜‚ maybe it wasn't that border after all, I should've checked my facts before replying!! Let me double check now. Either way, we didn't have to stay the night.

There is a rule that you need to stay at least one night in Cambodia. You may be able to bribe the immi official to stamp you back out the same day. Then you risk Thai immi not letting you back in. And they are infinetly harder to bribe. Best to go to Cham Yeam and have a night in Koh Kong.

Closest border from Bangkok I guess is Aranyaprathet.

If you want someone to help you. They go to Cambodia everyday from Bangkok and fee for Philippines is 3200 baht. Done in 8 hours.

They said it's a different process for NonB to 60days exemption. I cancelled my nonb in chaeng wattana before I proceed to the border so I'm not sure anymore. Anyway, they told me I have to fly back to Thailand if I don't so I just gave them whay they want to avoid hassle. At first I went to Ban Laem, then to Ban Pakkad 25mins away. They said the same.

Possibly, there’s no total time mentioned, I’ve read 8 hours previously, but it could be from someone else closer to the border.

normal they start off at 5am, and reach bkk at around 4 plus pm. You have to be that at 4.30am. So total is around 12 hours.
