My partner got a DTV doing very similar, YT Channel and Online course plus 1 to 1 sessions online. We both applied separately (I contract for a US based start up). As long as you can show income coming in, you should be alright.
We applied from the Spain Thai Embassy, and we're both British, so it will be different, but as long as you have a easy to follow trail, should be all good
no it's not bad at all in the grand scheme of things, someone doing it for you and all that. Cost an arm and a leg in the UK 🇬🇧 if I wanted something similar done.
Yeah my friend has put me in touch with some offering it for just under 8k, someone here in the group said it's possible for 5k, but I don't know who or where from.
Me and missus have done exactly that with our 4 pets! We were in Spain previously. As long as your income doesn't require you to work for a Thai based business, this Visa is crazy good!
Yeah the 180 hop for the next 5 yrs could be seen as a headache by some, but for us its good excuse for a break from our work and forces us to be organised with all that.
5 years to figure out if Thailand is indeed the place to be, is a good length of time!
We're not sweating it, if we do decide to stay, which seems quite likely as we absolute love it here, then we'll start looking into things more seriously after a year or so.
But for now enjoy enjoy and enjoy some more.... We haven't cooked a meal in over 2 months 🤣 Loving that ease, and it so fun to mingle with folks here, Thai people are amazingly friendly.
we have to the report every 90 days, 1st 1 in person in your nearest immigration office and then ones after can be filed online. I asked my nearest immigration office in BKK, and they said I must do a 90 day report. Make sure you get a Tm30 from whoever you are renting from.
If you leave within 90 days, no worries, it's just when you complete a full 90 days, it's gotta be done.
