OTP and Overseas Access

- OTP delivery: Bangkok Bank only sends one-time passwords (OTPs) to a Thai-registered mobile number. They don’t support sending OTPs to foreign numbers or email. If someone loses their Thai SIM, they effectively lose the ability to authenticate for mobile/internet banking.

- Locked accounts: If an account shows no activity for a long period (often a year or more), it can be flagged or restricted. Inactivity plus failed OTP verification usually results in being locked out.

- Resolution: The official stance is that the customer must visit a Bangkok Bank branch in Thailand to re-establish access, update their phone number, or reactivate the account. Remote resolution is extremely limited. (Ask AI)
