Can someone please clarify the difference between visa exempt and visa waiver? Is it just up to the individual agent which one I get, or is there more to it than that?
I was practically waved through at the CBX from Tijuana airport. When I told them I need to go to fill in my paperwork the guy looked at me funny and said (and I quote) "but you're not Mexican". I have heard similar stories from others.
I'm sorry you made a mistake on your application, this would probably happen in any country, not just Thailand. Hopefully you have learned the correct way to write your passport number now and won't make the same mistake again!
This can be done if e.g. the other country turns you away. But generally you have a lot of explaining to do when you stamp back in, I wouldn't recommend it as something to do regularly.
Thai banks are getting stricter about accepting large sums of money from abroad. I suggest you open a Wise account and slowly transfer your money over a bit at a time, don't try to do it all at once or it might get impounded.
