when I converted my visa exempt to a 3 month Non O at Chaeng Wattana, the immigration agent didn't ask for the origin of the THB 800,000. Just a bank statement showing the funds.

you can use WISE to transfer from your overseas bank to your Thai bank without first depositing to WISE

I have watched a few of his videos but they are mostly for wealthy individual and not the average retiree. He certainly has never mentioned Dumaguete and rarely if ever The Philippines in general.
