Can you get a residence certificate and do you also have a IDP on your licensees? In that case you’ll only need to get a health certificate or a doctor statement and do some simple test regarding sight and reaction at the DLT to convert.

If you want to stay for 90 days you apply online for a 60 days tourist visa and do a 30 days local extension at your local immigration in Thailand as explained. These are the general requirements and you apply online by creating a user in the e-visa portal.

Based on feedbacks I know the embassy in London issues tourist visa with onward flights after the initial 60 days, and I recommend that you contact your airline and ask if this also are ok with them. At the immigration in Thailand it’s normally no issue.

Ok, I see at the embassy in Sydney they have something called a “special tourist visa” valid for three months. This is not common, and in fact I’ve never heard of it before.

Yes this is a 90 days Non O visa based on being over 50 years and income min 65K baht a month. Works very well if you fulfil the requirements. If you just want 60 days, you can apply for a 60 days tourist visa and do a 30 days local extension as well.

I know this is the case in Bangkok and some other regions. In the tourist spots it’s no problem to get a residence certificate without the 90 days report. I did it both in Buriram and Pattaya when opened bank account, took my driver licenses and purchased motorcycle.

Use an agent if you are on a tourist visa or visa exemption. It’s almost impossible without a Long Stay visa.

There are several Land border companies in Pattaya who will escort you to the Ban Laem border in some hours every day. Approximately 250 km and in price range 3-4000 baht including everything and lunch.

But;

If you apply for a 60 days tourist visa online at home before you leave or arrive without any visa on a 30 days visa exemption. You can easily extend both with additional 30 days at the immigration in Jomtien.

And;

If you need additional time after the extension, a border run makes sense.
