What you need and what you can get is often not the same. You could applied for a six months multiple entries tourist visa at home before you left and stayed for up to nine months in Thailand. This is only available from the embassy/consulate of your permanent residence.

I guess you’re not on a 15 days visa on arrival, but a 30 days visa exemption. This can be extended with additional 30 days at your local immigration. You should be able to do several border runs to get a new exemption, but you can’t expect to do a long term stay with this. There’s some options regarding ED visa for studying Thai as an example and also Muy thai visa if this can be an option for you. You’ll need to investigate this further.

You could also apply for a 60 days tourist visa and buy multiple re-entry permits at the immigration or airport when you leave. Then you can come and go as you wish within 60 days without any issues.

Just a ticket OUT of Thailand at the end of the visa period.

Based on feedbacks ML could be quite strict regarding documentation for TV, especially in Penang. You don’t need a return ticket, a cheap onward ticket is sufficient.

You’ll need to prove one ticket into Thailand and one ticket out of Thailand within 60 days. The ticket out can be anywhere, just an onward ticket. Eks Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok xxx Bangkok - Sofia within 60 days.

It should be quite straightforward for you to apply in HMCH and it’s several available appointments in the coming days.

My tip is also that a third visa exemption should be possible. You’ve had two previous ones, but only stayed in Thailand for 73 days in total. There’s no written restrictions, but the red flag is normally 180 days a year without any long stay visa. Several people manage to do three or four entries on visa exemption before the IO start questioning them. Good luck anyway!

The requirements for a tourist visa is an inbound ticket AND an onward ticket out of Thailand within the required period in english. And based on feedbacks HMCH is unlike Hanoi a helpful embassy/consulate.
