What are the requirements for applying for a Thai tourist visa from Malaysia, especially regarding return tickets?
Hi guys, im in Malaysia to apply for a tourist visa. I don't have the ticket for the the return, do you think it may complicate the process or any tips please??
Answer summary
To apply for a Thai tourist visa from Malaysia, it is recommended to have a ticket for entry and exit from Thailand. Some sources indicate that while a return ticket is ideal, a cheap onward ticket to another destination is often sufficient, particularly noted in places like Penang. For finding affordable flights, using aggregators like Skyscanner can be useful.

I always book the cheapest flight out of Thailand. If you go on Skyscanner you can set your destination as "Everywhere" and it will show you the cheapest flights to neighbouring countries. It's usually Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam etc.

Based on feedbacks ML could be quite strict regarding documentation for TV, especially in Penang. You don’t need a return ticket, a cheap onward ticket is sufficient.
