No the restrictions are regarding visa exemption and even if you have an excessive travel history and been denied at an airport with a tourist visa, you’ll most certainly will manage to enter by land with a valid tourist visa anyway. (Unless you use the Poipet border).
Yes, health insurance is very important and I think the main reason why people wish to cancel the mandatory one approved by the Thai immigration is because it’s said to be expensive VS coverage.
Ok, the regular Non O still doesn’t have any mandatory health insurance requirements, only the one year Non O-A visa. And the requirements maintains also for your future Extensions of Stays.
That’s why several people on a stay based on a Non O-A visa leave and cancel their visa. Re-enter on a visa exemption or tourist visa and apply for a regular Non O visa in country instead just to get rid of the mandatory health insurance requirement.
I suggest you as your local immigration and get handed over their requirements. But normally requirements for extension is thai health insurance covering 400K baht. (At the embassies for issuing visa it’s still 3 million baht). This is the list over approved companies
You can probably do another visa exemption as well. Two visits and 50 days in total is not an excessive time in Thailand and you’re still on the regular tourist side. If you plan to do an extension as well, a tourist visa is more convenient any way.
Depends if you’re talking about the initial one year Non O-A visa at the embassy or a further yearly extension of stay in Thailand based on a Non O-A visa. Then the requirements are 400K baht for inpatient and 40K baht for outpatient with an approved thai insurance company.
Sorry same her, but according to some thai people drivers license for car is sufficient. If you don’t have car, you’ll need to take an additional license for tricycle. Regular motorcycle is not sufficient. I can’t verify this any further.
