have you or someone done it this way and how long ago. Not once did the immiration officer asked me for proof of income and believe me we tried. He said the only way forward is to open a bank account. And that was also not easy the bank didn't want to know how much money I had, they wanted authenticated marriage certificate, and had to submit that by local Amphoe aswell and get a document from them as well to show to the bank. Only then did they give me a bank account. So from my perspective it has nothing to do with proof of income.

I've done it. Had enough income to show. The only thing that worked was 400k in Thai bank your foreign income does not get looked at.
